3. Resume and Job Description Data
Your resume and job description may contain personal information. You should avoid uploading information that is not required for interview preparation. We use your resume and job description only to personalize your mock interview and related feedback.
4. Use of AI Tools
GenioPrep may use AI tools to help generate interview questions, feedback, and preparation guidance based on the information you provide. AI-generated outputs may not always be perfect and should be used as preparation support, not as a guaranteed assessment of your job prospects.
5. Optional Video-Readiness Analysis
Some interview experiences may offer optional camera-based video-readiness feedback. If you choose this option, GenioPrep captures still frames at intervals during the interview to review lighting, framing, visible posture/positioning, and background setup. We do not record full video for this feature, and you can continue with audio only.
Raw still frames are stored privately and used only to generate interview-readiness feedback. They are retained for up to 30 days and are not shown publicly.
6. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data may be stored and processed using third-party service providers, including cloud storage, database, and processing services used by GenioPrep. We take reasonable steps to limit access to your information and use it only for GenioPrep-related purposes.
7. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only with trusted service providers that help us collect form submissions, store responses, manage communications, or provide the mock interview experience.
8. Data Retention
We keep your information only for as long as needed to provide the service, improve the product, or manage user requests. We aim to delete resume and job description files within 90 days unless continued retention is needed to provide the service or you ask us to keep them.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your country of residence, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, update, delete, or restrict the processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing. If you are located in the UK, EU, or EEA, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. 10. Children's Data
GenioPrep is intended for job seekers aged 16 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us at privacy@thegenioprep.com and we will delete it.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. However, no online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Cookies and Tracking
GenioPrep uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site and to improve performance. Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and general location. It does not collect your name, resume content, or interview data. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings. We also use localStorage to remember your display preferences (such as light or dark mode).
